The shortest links and smallest QR codes for your Declarations of Performance & Conformity.

Give every DoP and DoC a short link and a compact QR code — host the document with us in the EU, or redirect the link to your own page. Either way, the code stays small enough to laser onto the product, and you can re-point it to the current valid version without reprinting.

The new CPR is going digital.
Your declarations should too.

Under Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 — replacing the old CPR 305/2011 — the Declaration of Performance and the conformity statement merge into a single Declaration of Performance and Conformity (DoPC). The regulation explicitly lets you make that declaration available on a website, provided it stays unamendable, human- and machine-readable, accessible, and unequivocally linked to the product.

A Digital Product Passport is already written into the law, with the detailed requirements arriving through delegated acts. Manufacturers who structure their declarations now avoid the scramble later — and a QR code pointing to a stable, version-controlled link is the simplest way to satisfy “unequivocally linked to the product,” today.

dop.eu is built to help you meet these requirements — it isn’t legal advice. Confirm the specifics with your compliance team.

Host the document, or redirect to your own — your choice

Option A

Host the document with us

Upload your DoP/DoC and dop.eu stores it in the EU, immutably and with full version history. The QR resolves straight to the document. Ideal if you don’t have a suitable public page, or you want guaranteed unamendable, EU-hosted availability that meets the CPR’s conditions out of the box.

Option B

Redirect to your own URL (link shortening)

Already host your declarations? Point the short dop.eu link at your existing product page, document portal, or download. You keep the document on your own infrastructure — dop.eu gives you the compact, stable, re-pointable QR code on top.

Mix and match per product, and switch between modes at any time — without ever changing the printed QR.

From document to product label in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Add your document

Upload the PDF to dop.eu — stored immutably, with version history — or point the link at the URL where it already lives. Manual or via API, one at a time or in bulk.

  2. Step 2

Get your short link + QR

Receive a short dop.eu link — an auto-generated ID (dop.eu/q/uH0hc3) or your own manufacturer and product identifiers — plus a ready-to-print QR code.

  3. Step 3

Mark the product, stay in control

Print or laser the QR onto the product or packaging. Publishing a newer valid version, or moving the document? Re-point the link. The QR on the product never changes.

A shorter link is a smaller, tougher QR code

A QR code’s size grows with the data it carries. A dop.eu link like dop.eu/q/uH0hc3 fits in the smallest possible QR (Version 1, 21×21 modules). A typical long PDF URL pushes you to a Version 3–5 code (29–37 modules per side) — denser, larger, and harder to read when it’s small, curved, or laser-etched.

With dop.eu you get a trustworthy, but dense URL, which has the following benefits:

  • smaller physical QR code dimensions are possible
  • for the same code dimensions, scanning is more robust
  • your customers scan a clean, branded link instead of an URL from a random shortener

For manufacturers placing CE-marked products on the EU market

dop.eu is built first for construction product manufacturers under the CPR — and works just as well for any CE-marked product that needs a Declaration of Conformity, from machinery to electronics.

Whether you certify individual products or run high-volume serial production, one short link delivers the right declaration to whoever scans it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I host my declaration on dop.eu, or link to my own site?

+

Both. You can upload the DoP/DoC and have dop.eu host it in the EU (immutable, with version history), or you can redirect the short link to a page you already maintain. You can choose per product and switch later without changing the printed QR.

What is a Declaration of Performance and Conformity (DoPC)?

+

Under the new CPR (Regulation (EU) 2024/3110), the former Declaration of Performance and the conformity statement merge into a single declaration. It documents a construction product's essential characteristics and its conformity against the relevant harmonised specification.

Will dop.eu actually make my QR codes smaller?

+

Yes. A QR code's size depends on how much data it encodes. A short dop.eu link fits in the smallest QR format (Version 1, 21×21 modules), while a long PDF URL typically needs a Version 3–5 code. The same physical code can therefore be smaller and more robust.

Can I change where the QR points after it's printed?

+

Yes. The printed QR stays fixed, while you re-point its destination to the current valid declaration. Each hosted declaration is stored unamendably with version history, so the code on the product never needs reprinting.

Is dop.eu GDPR-compliant, and where is it hosted?

+

dop.eu is hosted entirely on EU infrastructure and is GDPR-compliant by design.

Does it work for both individual and serial products?

+

Yes — from single, individually certified items to high-volume serial production.

Do you have an API?

+

Yes. You can upload and update documents via API, including bulk uploads. PIM integration is coming soon.

Does dop.eu make my products CPR-compliant?

+

dop.eu is built to help you meet the CPR's digital-provision requirements — unamendable, machine-readable, product-linked declarations. Compliance remains your responsibility, and this isn't legal advice.
